First official snowfall

Yes folks yes it is! The first snow fall has arrived! I was concentrating at my desk only to be constantly disturbed of the noise going on outside. Assuming it was a bunch of drunks I continued on. 30 minutes later I curiously checked outside, only to see a bunch of students making snowmen, having snowball fights, and making snow angels. Who knew that some things never change...even when it came to the joy of a first snow fall? I mean...the youngest you can be here is 18! Also in the spirit of decorating my floor has gone Christmas crazy, decorating their rooms, walls and doors. Its so great im gonna upload some photos I took. If you cant celebrate the season normally, why not bring it to you right? Al had a super hard day today so Kudos to her for surviving it. One of those days where everything goes wrong you know? If I remember correctly she went into Tim Hortons because she needed change for a photocopier machine, while at Tim Hortons, spilled her drink all over the floor, went on her hands and knees to clean it, only to have the machine not take the change. OH and her dad got transfered to the same place she works....weeeeee. What do you guys feel about this new font? Im kinda digging it...makes me want a type writer all over again. My day was alright, im finding that my body has become immune to caffeine, and no matter the amount I drink I cant seem to wake up...which is horrible. The lock on my door also doesnt work, which means my stuff is definitely gonna get stolen...oh thank you cheap card keys! Outfits go in order from Friday, Saturday night (I didnt get a photo when I was wearing it but my friend Taylor did and I took a picture of it on the floor the next morning) and Monday. Looking at these pictures I realized too how my hair is already starting to fade back to blonde at the bottom...how incredibly disappointing. -jessica diana

I come from the streets of loretto

Today was ok, it was snowing, but I dont count it as the first snow fall because its that gross wanna be wet snow...you know? By 1:00 it turned into actual rain and I had no umbrella so I got soaked, YAY hypothermia! You know when you put your hood on and your walking against the wind and it keeps blowing back? Then to show your hood whos boss you violently pushing it back up...for the wind to take it back down...and you just keep getting more frustrated? That was me today! PLUS i was walking up this massive hill and for some odd reason there were Canadian geese in the midle of the path...solid as rocks. They werent moving! I swear they were just standing there...I had to walk around them. My music class ended 30 minutes early which was cool and I got back and loafted a bit. Then I did more film notes...because thats the thing to do on a Friday evening. Me and Alene were skyping again tonight, connection was great im feeling really warm inside. I completely relaxed tonight. Watched a bit of Coco Avant Chanel, played some guitar, wrote another song, pretty legit. I had the play tonight too before all of this laziness,  it was great and the cast got a standing ovation, so happy for them! Everyone is getting closer which is cool, met a coolio boy named Isaac and hes just as obsessed with fashion as I am! YAY! Anyhow I mentioned I was getting lazy so I just took web cam pictures of my outfit when I came inside. I found it awkward taking the pictures on web cam because I had to show my face...so I uh...made some pretty funny faces. Nothing special again, however the sparkles on my jacket acted as a personalized disco ball that reflected off of everything and everyone...pretty rad, night folks.- jessica diana

stop making eyes at me and ill stop making eyes at you

What to do at 11:52?...film notes YAY! Tonight was the opening night for Spring Awakening and it went super awesome. Cast ran through it smoothly and the emotion was intense...if you live in London...come out. Im getting really lazy in uploading my outfits everyday...I suppose thats a bad thing considering I just started this blog...maybe i'll start doing webcam pictures...quality isnt the greatest though. "Stop making eyes at me and Ill stop making eyes at you" sorry i know Im all over the place! The Kooks are in my head, im currently listening to some of their older stuff which kills the new stuff but to each is own right? Who am I to judge their direction in music? Skype with Alene partly worked today, the image for once wasnt pixilated and there was no delay on voice SUCCESS (i know it may seem nothing to you at home, but dorm room internet connection is HORRID). I was loafting a lot today on the apple site looking at previews, theres a few good movies coming out. If you guys have nothing better to do check out these ones: Wonderful World, Greenberg, Exraordinary Measures, Yellow Hankerchief, Crazy Heart, Police: Adjective and Brothers. Anyhow heres the outfit from tonight Im supposed to wear "all black" because im backstage, nothing special dont get your hopes up. tata!-jessica diana

afterthought? n

Just an after thought...here are some pictures from the weekend with outfit #2, as well as a couple pictures of two of my new sweaters:)

horrible horrible horrible

Yes im terribly sorry I havent been doing my daily postings, im terribly sorry that ive been out living life rather than sitting here recording it. Im going to be a horrible blogger, I guess some of us arent cut out for it.  "I used to sing to your twisted symphony"...i dont know why that came up I really enjoy that line though. Speaking of lines theres this new artist I discovered named Jason Bajada...kinda a mixture of John Mayer/Bob Dylan/ Chris Martin...yes those are some big names...but if you only knew! Go and check him out..i believe his myspace is www.myspace.com/jasonbajada ...he will not disappoint. Tonight as with the next few nights is Spring Awakening practices as well as peformances..EXCITING! I dont know if I let you guys in on that but im doing costumes for the show...yes figures me doing costumes. If any of you were thinking of buying the new issue of Flare because of Taylor Momsen...dont. I was so disappointed. There is only 1 picture of her and not even a full page article...what the hell is that about! Not to mention the article was poorly written...just ruined my day is all..no big deal. I have a bunch of new issues and I cant even read them because of all this damn work! I went home to Tornto on the weekend and it felt way to short. Amadeusz and I went back to Maggerors (if thats how you spell it) Tea House in Kleinburg. We tried this "Ciao bell" tea...amazing you must go there just to try it. Had a nice talk, I miss our talks, I think he agrees. Speaking of tea I took Paige to Davids Tea for her first time, she fell in love and bought 75 grams of Creme Brule tea, wonderful indeed. The rest of Saturday was spent sweater shopping, i think I bought 7 new ones at Black Market for $70, pretty sweet. Met up with everyone at night for some dinner, smooth as usual, minus the 2 hours wait. Anyway the weekend went way to quick, Maria if your reading this, SORRY! In due time my dear in due time. Here is a mega post of some outfits from last week, enjoy...i suppose? -jessica diana

And what an interesting day it was!

This morning I had a hair appointment...which may not seem that interesting...but it is...so just listen. You see down here in London the busses are on strike. So I either cab it or walk it...i decided to walk it. I walked 40 minutes downtown and 40 minutes back, great morning cardio! Anyway it was hell on the way there because I was walking against the wind. You know when your ears start to ring because theres so much wind and they kinda hurt? Ya...hate that feeling. I was so cold that my cheeks starting burning..realized I got wind burn(yes!). So I walk into Starbucks headband halfway off my head, cheeks like Santa Clause, eyelashes probably stuck to my eyelids and scarf wrapped around my legs rather my neck. Then you know that sensation when you come from cold to hot and your body is BOLING...well then that happened of course. Anyway I went and tried their new "Caramel Brule" Christmas drink (ive literally tried the whole starbucks menu) and tip of the day: mix the wip cream into the drink..tastes a lot better. The drink itself was nothing special...tasted like a caramel latte accept this had brown sparkles on the wip creme...what schemers. I made a new friend too! The man next to me approached me about my outfit stating "its very 50s inspired my daughter would love it!". We then proceeded to talk about the weather (of course) and vintage clothing...so cool right?! I then went to my hair appointment which gave me an anxiety attack because Ive never been to this place before (and we all know how nervous we are about our precious hair). I got it dyed all brown for the winter, it looks clean and healthy and I love it! Me and the hair dresser chatted it up about musicians and our weak spot for them, shes rad.  After my hair appointment I  happily strolled to this camera place and found a beautiful pentax slr camera which im going to convince my parents to buy for me (seriously its beautiful and its only $100...which for the peolpe who know anything about pentax slr cameras..is an extremely good price). oh the joys of film!...oh the joys of having no money...school.....ANYHOW walked back...of course the wind would change so even on the way back I was walking against it. Went to class, received marks I wasnt glad to see, went to the library and studied, wrote a couple of songs and now im here...typing to you! Yes you! Currently listening to some Neil Young, hes the man! It was hella cold today here, definitely going to have to invest in a new winter jacket. I never realized how important money was until I didnt have any. I hate being on a student budget! AND i realized today that im almost done my first semester here! Swweeet, just a few more months to go!!!...and then i get to work a full time job! OH how I love thee life!- jessica diana

Free Fallin

So im basically screwed for my exam on Wednesday...really screwed. You know what else is really annoying right now? My "y" key on the keyboard isnt working, so in order for it to click I literally have to slam my finger into it...what gives right? Alene told me shes reading my blog so uh...HI AL! I realized I talk a lot about school on this thing..maybe I should stop that nonsense and write about useful things. Im listening to Free Fallin by Tom Petty at the current moment because my friends in Midway State and the Envy got it in my head since Thursday. You know I read once that the reason we get music stuck in our head is because the sound enters this chambre in our brain which creates this repetition effect bouncing off two sides...resulting into us singing it over and over again. Why cant that apply to remembering notes...what gives? "Lastt chanceee for Mary Jane" oh Tom Petty you are a legend. I watched "Im not There" the other night, its this documentary on Bob Dylan...everone should watch it..right now. Let me remind you that as im typing this Im slamming my finger into the "y"...do you even realize how annoying that is? Of course not your "y" probably works now doesnt it. SO FRUSTRATING. Tomorrow im getting my hair done, either getting some blonde in it or going dying it over to hide the remaining blonde. Has this blog been useful? Highly doubt it but it helped with your distractions right? I mean why else do we read someone else's useless thoughts? Because were bored. Because were procrastinating. So my fellow readers thank you for adding me to your list of distractions. The outfits are nothing special been too busy lately to think. I just threw on what was on my floor...which would explain the same skirt two days in a row.-jessica diana

So dont even attempt to ask me why im awake. I cant fall asleep, I've been tossing and turning all night, which has to be the one of the worst feelings. Ana had class this morning at 8 so I woke up with her and havent been able to get back down since. What does one do when they cant sleep? Blog of course! So sorry that I havent been updating my stuff. Ive been really caught up with school and life and such to actually com here and document it down. On thursday I went to a concert to interview a band called the Artists Life, they're super rad. I got some pictures of my outfit from then. Also an outfit from my schools semi formal. Sorry its such a horrible picture but thats one of the only ones I have from the night. The rest of my outfits are on my camera and im way to lazy to load them right now so i'll so a mega post sometime this week of everything...how efficient of me. Im coming home this weekend, really excited to be back in the city and seeing everyone again...where is this post even going? No where...I didnt think it would. One last thing though! Vogue is doing their annual artists issue for December...super excited...you should me too..just sayin. Im going to attempt to sleep again. Night world..or should I say morning.-jessica diana

Bad Reputation

Yes Joan Jett is definitely an idol of mine. Bad Reputation? Cant get better. Kinda sucks that Hit Me With Your Best Shot is ruined for me because of guitar hero...but nevertheless shes magic. Today was a long day, filled with stress, chaos and work and I was on my toes every minute of it. Stress+me=love, so I cant really escape it. Ana and Alene are of course the best support system out there, I can definitely go to them when im needing a few words of wisdom to help me get through. Because even though I love the stress...it still is stress and we all need someone there...whoever invented friends was a genius. I mean think of the role they play in our lives? Think of the job description of being a friend? Late night phone calls, venting sprees, crying, arguments, drunken mishaps, lame men, STRESS...and you...YOU the friend have to be there for it all..kinda nuts to expect out of someone right? Just going to take the time to those friends of mine who continue to stick by my side through my complaints and dramatic speeches. THIS GOES OUT TO YOU LOVELYS...i know you must feel grand that a random blog is being dedicated to you..go nuts, celebrate...wheres the champagne?- jessica diana

Alene and Ana

Dorm Room Silvers

Below are also pictures too that I took in my dorm today with all the procrastination time before the meeting, and of course before my Ana woke up.
